I have lived in the US since 89'. I am from Alexandria and I miss it there very much. It is hard to be away from our people and to be so far away from our culture. I miss the laughter and our way of life.
the benefits of being here is that my wife is here and all of my family is here also. In the states I can make a very good living to support my family. If I had to decide to move here again I would but I would not romantize that America is streets paved with gold.There are many problems here just as there are all over the world. My advice is to anyone immigrating over here is to move to a beautiful place. If they mention Michigan tell them no way!!! Move to California...Florida or if you want to be around a large Egyptian society go to New Jersey.
