The problem I
have is not a
serious one but
a problem no
doubt. I am
recently married
to a wonderful
Egyptian man. I
am American born
Muslim with Arab
background. My
husband wants me
to cook Egyptian
food and I don't
know anybody who
cooks it,
including the
Egyptian women I
know. He wants
Mashi,okra,some
special rice
dishes. If
anyone can help
I would deeply
appreciate it.

specify what the
problem exactly
is. Is it
that you don't
want to cook
Egyptian food or
you don't know
how to cook
it. If
your answer is
that you don't
want to cook it,
than nothing we
can do about it,
as no one can
force you to do
something you don't
want to do,
however, if your
husband is such
a wonderful man
as you say, don't
you think it
would be nice of
you to go out of
your way every
now and then and
cook him
something he
likes? We
are sure that
married couples
do things for
each other just
out of love and
consideration
and you can
consider this
just another
sacrifice.
If your answer
is that you
don't know how
to cook it, middle eastern
cookbooks are
available in
most major
bookstores
throughout the
USA .. you can
also check our own
recipes on
this site,
however you
might to ask
your husband to
translate it for
you, if you do
not speak the
Arabic language.
